Victory

universe

Victory.  Success.  Gratitude.  Humility.

I’m not sure if Victory comes first and then Success, but either way I think you get my drift.  Often times with victory and success, the “big-head” syndrome starts and one’s chest puffs out and one struts one’s stuff, being all proud up in everyone’s face. That is not attractive to me.  I plan on having a victory soon, followed by success. Then…gratitude. Gratitude for the gifts I’ve been given to share with the world.

Gratitude rests in the heart waiting to be seen, heard, felt, offered…and gratitude is followed by humility.  Humility.  Say it with me.  Humility.  When I Googled “humility”, the definition was “a low view of one’s importance.”  Huh?  That’s certainly not what I feel humility to be.

So I found this quote:  “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.”  Yes. With humility comes wisdom. Truth.

May your victories be successes and may you offer gratitude back to the Universe and in return bask in humility.

Blessings and Miracles

So.  Life, as my husband and I knew it, changed on May 28, 2014.  My previous blog post spoke about it.  The Universe answers prayers (whatever you consider a prayer to be) in record time these days.  We lose someone close to us and a major player in our business and voila’, just the right person (or so we thought) comes to us with an offer we can’t refuse.  Perfect.  And so life is back on track and we begin to pick up the pieces.  Oh but wait…not so fast the Universe says…that was much to easy.  The Universe says to us “you talk a lot about staying in the place of the Most High, well, let’s see what happens with the rubber meets the road.”  Just as quickly as this perfect person decided to work for us, a different decision is made a couple of weeks later than perhaps it’s not so perfect after all.  Okay, Universe.  Throw me the ball.  I’m ready.

So in a nutshell (funny I should use that term since our company is The Nutman Co. USA, Inc.), the winds blew one direction one day and then tossed everything up in the air and blew them a different direction the next day.  The rubber met the road and it hit a speed bump.  Does a speed bump deter a well-trained winning race driver?  I think not.

Clearly we MUST see these circumstances that come to us as blessings…blessings in the form of a road map and an internal GPS system.  If we stay in the driver’s seat and maneuver through life’s obstacle course with grace and gratitude, we will be shown the way to the winner’s circle.  Miracles manifest by trusting this internal guidance system.

A friend once wrote, “Our experience of miracles could include such things as life itself, our consciousness, the ability to reason, the experience of loving and so on. Then there are countless other miracles that relate to all the blessings that have come to us in our lives.  Hopefully, we each can see the miraculous way in which the personal affairs and emerging design of our lives have all unfolded.”

Yes, I certainly can.  Life has a design.  I don’t question it anymore.  I open myself to the constant movement of the Universe and find a plethora of gifts streaming forth.  If I were to think of all the things I’ve done and where I’ve been and what it took to be here in this moment…well, it would be truly mind-blowing.  But I Am Here Now.  And life’s adventure is unfolding at record speed.

My seatbelt and my helmet are on.  The engine is revving.  Bring on the obstacle course and the speed bumps.  It is a privilege to participate consciously in this delightfully crazy adventure.

Va-va-va-vroom!  Let the blessings and the miracles continue.

Entering the Gateway to 2014

abundance

If you follow my blog, you know that I teach Nia — it is my sacred livelihood. My Nia classes are full of creative expression, an invitation to live and dance the truth of who you are — spirit in action, clothed in an extraordinary physical manifestation.

I love ceremony, I love creating a space where others are invited to step into their greatness, their divinity. Everything in this world needs to be lifted up.  The Universe awaits the opportunity to manifest that which we wish to dream into reality…and it will…it does…now and always — the Universe responds to our call. Every thought, every word, every action creates our world. What is it that YOU wish to dream into reality? Be cautious and CONSCIOUS of your wishes. They do manifest. There is no one to thank or to blame but yourself for what is revealed.  Wouldn’t you rather be grateful for what comes forth rather than accusing, blaming or criticizing? Afterall, it’s your creation.

On the Winter Solstice, Dec. 21, 2013, a gathering of 13 (one of my favorite numbers) celebrated with a ritual of gratitude and forgiveness for our journey through 2013.  Although Midnight on December 31st in the Gregorian Calendar is normally celebrated as the ringing in of the New Year, in some cultures the Winter Solstice brings forth the new journey.  I recognize both as holy and sacred.

We began our time together in an empowering circle…the room was dimly lit.  There were blank pieces of paper and a crayon, a stone and an “Angel” card for everyone.  The invitation was to enter the space intuitively, sitting where one was drawn to do so.  The first offering to the Universe was to jot down three things we were grateful for in 2013, there was no time to think about it, let spirit guide. The second offering was to jot down one thing in 013 for which we wanted to receive forgiveness. Gratitude and Forgiveness are BIG MEDICINE. Each stone had a word carved on it. The specific word represented our something for which we were grateful and the word on the Angel Card contained our individual “energy” for the dance we would be participating in shortly.

And we danced…beautiful dancing bodies (12 women and 1 man).  The playlist contained the “mantra of joy”, a beautiful song about dreaming, a melodic song of winter, a song of “together as one” and then we gathered back in our circle to dream in 2014.  No time to think about it…let the crayon hit the paper and stream of consciousness take over. Fill the paper if necessary, or just write a few things.

Our time ended with hands in prayer position at the heart and the words, “Let Love Radiate” (words that I use to bring all of my Nia classes to a close).

The Universe is waiting to respond…that’s what it does…respond.

I sense a unique shift occurring…it is time to put the cards on the table. What’s in your hand? What are you dreaming into 2014?
